The success of the Idaho Falls Swim Team depends on an active Booster Club or parent group. Every family is required to devote 20 hours of volunteer service per year helping the team.

The finance committe manages the budget. They also work to locate individuals and businesses who would like to donate money to our non-profit organization.

The team hosts a few meets each year. Without parents and other family members volunteering at swim meets, they simply will not happen. We need several volunteers to organize the meets, and many more to actually run it.

The team organizes a few fundraisers a year. Our biggest is the Piranhathon, in which most participants earn their entire Family Commitment for the year. It takes about 6 volunteers to organize and at least 20 to run.

Meet Travel Committee

The team travels in buses, vans, and cars. When the team sets up transportation, more swimmers can attend and costs can be reduced. When hotel accommodations are made for the entire team, we can travel more conveniently.

Communication within the team is vital. We need volunteers to write articles for the newspaper and for newsletters.

Team events and recognition of achievements throughout the year help foster team spirit, keep morale up, and help everyone hae fun. For these events to take place, though, we need volunteers to organize them.

Telephone Committee

A phone tree organizer gathers contact information and distributes it to the groups so that they can stay in contact when not at the pool, and so they can arrange carpooling to practice or meets.
