Time Standards Practices Meets Training Groups Resources blog Photos

The Idaho Falls Swim Team holds practices 11 months a year at the Wes Diest Aquatic Center in Idaho Falls (formerly the Idaho Falls Aquatic Center). The length and frequency of practices depends on a swimmer’s age group. IFST attends swim meets throughout the year, generally one per month during the school year and more through the summer months. Competition is optional, but highly recommended.

The Vision of the Idaho Falls Swim Team is to provide an environment where youth can reach their personal swimming goals, from learning to swim to national level competition. Guiding swimmers as they translate values and skills developed in swimming into life skills is an integral part of our commitment to youth.

We welcome swimmers from Age 5 through High School. See Our 2009 Welcome Letter as well as Training Groups for more information.

Yellowbook Delivery - Starts May 12th
Like last year, we will be delivering telephone books for Yellowbook USA. We will work in teams involving kids accompanied by adults. The kids will work both sides of the street delivering books (wrapped in a plastic bag, placed against the hinge side of the front door for each address on each assigned block of residences). The adults will drive down the street hauling the extra telephone books and keeping track of where the kids have delivered books. This activity does not involve entering any homes or garages and no doorbell ringing! Each team should plan to work together for several hours to deliver a route and earn about $75-100 (total) towards their family commitment fee. We will be able to pick up routes and telephone books starting May 12 at 9:00 a.m. and we weill need to complete delivery by May 25th. If you would like to participate, please let Wendy Lowe know by May 11.
